A 28 day programme, done from a chair

A clear way to practise balance at home.

A gradual 28 day general exercise programme with seated options and clear safety guidance. It does not diagnose why your balance may have changed.

Ten minutes a day. Printed on paper, not an app.
One payment. Nothing to cancel. Nothing that can charge you again.

The moment you notice it

Sometimes the first sign is not a fall. It is smaller than that.

A hand on the wall going down the hallway at night, and the realisation it has been happening for months. Turning quickly in the kitchen and something lurching. Stopping halfway down the stairs to let someone pass, and preferring the rail with both hands.

Small changes can affect everyday choices. You may use the rail more, avoid an icy path, or leave the garden until the weather improves.

Balance can change for many reasons. Speak to a clinician about changes that are new, sudden or getting worse. Use this programme only when general exercise is appropriate for you.

Why it happens, in plain terms

Standing upright is not passive. Three systems are working the whole time, and a fourth has to act on what they say.

The inner ear

Reports which way is up, and how fast the head is moving.

The eyes

Fix the body against the room. It is why a dark hallway is harder than the same hallway at noon.

The feet and ankles

Report pressure and angle constantly, making hundreds of tiny corrections an hour.

Then the muscles around the ankles and hips have to answer fast enough to matter. A wobble is corrected in a fraction of a second, or it is not corrected at all.

Practice can challenge these skills, but not every balance problem comes from a lack of practice. Vision, medicines, the inner ear, nerves, joints and other health issues can all matter.

Start with the safety guidance. If you are unsure why your balance changed, ask a clinician before you begin.

Before anything else, read this part

Online exercise offers can have very different payment terms. Ours are stated here so you can decide before opening checkout.

So here is ours, stated plainly. The Steady Method is a one time payment for a set of PDF files. There is no app, no account and no login. There is nothing on your card afterwards, because there is nothing to renew. You print it, and it is yours.

There is no monthly plan or subscription on this page. Both choices below are one time purchases. Neither choice can charge you again.

What you get

Who this is not for

This matters more than the sales pitch, so it goes before the price.

Please talk to your doctor before starting if any of these apply

  • You have had a fall in the last six months that you could not explain.
  • You have been told you have severe osteoporosis, or you have had a fracture recently.
  • You get dizziness or spinning that comes on without warning.
  • You have had surgery in the last three months, particularly hip or knee.
  • You have significant numbness in your feet.
  • Your blood pressure drops when you stand up.
  • You have chest pain, or breathlessness on light activity.

None of that means never. It means a two minute conversation first, so the programme is adjusted to you rather than the other way round.

This is a general exercise programme, not medical treatment and not physiotherapy. If you are already working with a physiotherapist, follow them, not this.

Straight answers

Is this a subscription?

No. The programme is a one time payment for files you download and print. There is no monthly option, trial or automatic membership. Nothing renews.

Is standing required?

No. Every day has a seated version. The standing work is optional and is always done next to a chair or counter, with a hand on it.

What if it is too much to start with?

Day 1 is genuinely easy on purpose. If it is still too much, there is a seated version of every day, and the first week can simply be repeated. The programme is built to be repeated, not rushed.

Will this stop me falling?

No. This programme cannot guarantee that you will not fall. It provides gradual general exercises, and results differ from person to person. Speak to a clinician about balance problems that are new, sudden or getting worse.

Where are the customer reviews?

There are none, because this is new and we are not going to invent them. That is worth knowing before you buy. What you get instead is a plainly stated 60 day refund promise and no invented five star claims.

What if it is not right for me?

Reply to your receipt and say so. You get your money back within 60 days, you do not have to explain, and you keep the files. Asking a 70 year old to post something back to get a refund on a PDF would be absurd.
